Built by a Cruiser Who Wanted a Better Way to Prepare
CruiseCast began with a simple question: Why is it so difficult to understand what an entire cruise may actually be like before you sail?
Founder story
The idea started before our first cruise
My wife and I took our first cruise in November 2024. Like many first-time cruisers, we spent months preparing. We researched the ship, watched videos, checked ports, compared packing lists, and looked at the weather again and again.
But the information was scattered. A normal weather app could show one city, yet our cruise would move through several destinations and include days at sea. It was difficult to see the trip as one connected experience—or to turn all that information into practical decisions about what to pack and what to expect.
That experience stayed with me. I began building the tool I wished we had: one place where a traveler could choose a real sailing and view the trip day by day, with weather insights, packing guidance, port information, and other useful planning details organized around the itinerary.
That idea became CruiseCast.
Mission
Helping cruisers feel prepared, not overwhelmed
CruiseCast exists to make cruise planning clearer. It does not try to replace official cruise line information, weather authorities, or a traveler’s own judgment. Its purpose is to bring useful planning information together, explain it in a practical way, and help travelers make more confident decisions before they sail.
What guides CruiseCast
Built around real planning questions
Every CruiseCast feature begins with a question a cruiser might genuinely ask while planning a trip.
What might each day of my cruise feel like?
What should I pack for this particular itinerary?
Could a port be especially busy when we arrive?
What should I know before visiting each stop?
How can I keep the most useful trip information together?
Can I save my cruise and return as my sailing gets closer?
